Ivy Cottages, Butt Lane, Normanton-on-Soar This pair of estate cottages had fallen into a poor state of repair and become very difficult to let due to their isolated location. Our brief was to reverse the houses away from the busy Rempstone Road and create a more suitable family environment to enable easier letting. Both cottages were fully refurbished, altered internally and extended to create two three bedroom houses of good proportion. The provision of a new driveway access means that the houses are now orientated towards the open countryside, giving more privacy and screening. Both cottages could have been sold a number of times during the construction period.
