The original proposal was for a retirement bungalow in the grounds of the client's present house. Due to the modern design of the dwelling being the key this became a very contemporary 1½ storey house with the use of aluminium windows, doors, screens etc., reflecting the sharp lines of the design. The dwelling is orientated so that the glazed dining section faces south east and therefore enjoys good levels of natural sunlight and solar gain. We were happy to be able to fulfill our client's wish for a very different kind of retirement home.
