The Cottage was believed to have been constructed in approximately 1740. Our brief was to extend and enhance the property whilst maintaining its original character. Single and two storey extensions to create a kitchen/dining room were added, a fairly lethal brick staircase was removed and a catslide roof installed. Extensive glazing to the south easterly elevation helps with solar gain during the winter months, gives a modern twist to the cottage and provides great views over the garden. The outward appearance of the cottage is substantially maintained from its original form. Landscaped gardens complete the package of this individual cottage.
