Following our relocation, the team at David Granger Design continues to grow.

We are pleased to welcome Nigel Kilby on board. Nigel brings a wealth of knowledge and experience having spent over forty years in the construction industry, of which 17 years have been as an architectural technologist. As our newly appointed Technical Manager, Nigel will oversee the technical team. He will offer advice and support, manage client’s projects and, under Technical Director Stuart Falder’s leadership, help the growth and development of this side of the business.

Nigel lives locally with his wife, Terri. He has one son, James, who lives nearby with his dog, who Terri often dog sits for! In his spare time Nigel enjoys exploring the countryside and as a season ticket holder at the Leicester Tigers attending home games and some away matches.

In addition to Nigel’s appointment, Simon Moore has been promoted to Design Manager. Simon has been with us since leaving university in 2011. Since then his talent and work ethic, taken with the guidance he’s received from David and directors Mark Smalley and Michael Perry, has enabled him to reach this position. Under their leadership, Simon will liaise with clients helping them with their ideas, creating their bespoke designs and, ultimately, gaining planning approval for their proposals.

Newly engaged Simon lives in Ashby with his fiancé Abby and in his spare time enjoys playing cricket and travel, both in this country and overseas.

Last but by no means least, we would like to introduce Cheryl Roberts. Moving to The Old Cottage Hospital meant we needed to employ a full-time receptionist, not only to meet and greet our clients and visitors but also those of our tenants upstairs. As well as welcoming everyone, Cheryl answers the telephone, provides administrative assistance and manages the meeting rooms, ensuring they don’t get double booked. After many years working in telecoms, Cheryl decided it was time for a change and was persuaded by her Mum to apply for the position.

Her ability and confidence with clients, both face to face and over the phone, is excellent and we are so pleased she said yes (to her Mum and us!). Cheryl lives in Measham with her partner Dave. She has two children, Tom and Molly, Sky the dog and she spends what little spare time she has with her horses, Bones and Tyson.
