We promised you a final Old Cottage Hospital update as furniture starts to enter the building, but we thought you might like a sneak peek before then.
Over the last few weeks, trades have been second fixing joinery, electrical and plumbing installations and the whole building has received a coat of paint, which has brought the building to life, and you can now begin to visualise the finished offices. Works are also well underway externally, with new paving, planting areas and a small garden for those alfresco design meetings.
The new electrical installation was recently made life, meaning the rooms are all now fully illuminated and the radiators are pumping out a very welcome warmth. This has pleased those trades still working on-site, now the colder weather has arrived.
Several areas of the building are now just awaiting floor coverings before they can be considered complete, with the other areas not far behind.
Exclusive furniture
Furniture is now on order and has been designed to suit the style of the building. We’ve ordered some designer furniture from a new range, and we’re led to believe we may be the first people in the country to have it – very exciting!
The first part of the building most people will see on entering is the reception, and we’ve got something special planned to welcome visitors through the door. We will have bespoke furniture, architectural lighting and interesting artwork.
We have now sold our current offices in Packington, so it will very soon be time to get out the cardboard boxes and packing tape.
We’ll be back soon with a final preview of the finished building.
