Pear Tree Mews is a mixed-use development on a brownfield site in the heart of Breedon on the Hill, set in the village conservation area on the grounds of a listed building.
This standout development consists of new-build housing and the conversion of an existing building. A former farmyard setting is retained, and a converted store forms an individual unit. Opposite this is a recreated two-storey barn and a pair of country cottages. Beyond that sits a further five new dwellings in a courtyard setting.
The development is built using traditional materials, locally sourced where possible, including natural stone and plain clay roof tiles. The scheme also benefits from other quality features like cast iron rainwater goods and timber windows and doors. We retained many existing site features, particularly at the entrance into the site, and this is harmonised with the maturing landscaping scheme.
