Built in the early 1900s as Griffydam Senior School, this site had been used until recently as an engineering works with a family home in one wing.
Parts of the property were in desperate need of refurbishment and some disused outbuildings were demolished.
Sympathetic and attractive alterations were completed to the property, utilising first floor and basement levels and retaining many original features, including the restoration of the bell tower which has been returned to its former glory.
Known as The School House, the property is now a comfortable and contemporary family home providing stylish living accommodation whilst reflecting the historic nature of the building.
To finish the project we brought in local garden design company Lush Garden Design to created the landscaping scheme.
Award-Winning Conversion
In June 2016, at the East Midlands LABC Building Excellence Awards, the School House project was awarded “Best Change of Use of an Existing Building or Conversion”.
