Having previously been a well-known pub and hotel in the town, planning approval was achieved on this listed building to convert to an array of townhouses and apartments.
Alongside Lychgate Homes we were interested in preserving almost all of the existing structure and utilising the existing fabric was always preferable to clearing the site and starting again.
Development included four townhouses and seven apartments over three floors. The renovated building is an example of what can be achieved with all buildings that are seemly fit for the only demolition.
The redevelopment of this site shows how successful renovations and conversions can be when you combine sympathy for a historic building with a modern approach to today residential needs.
