Successful Christmas Fund-Raising Raffle

During December, we ran a prize raffle to raise the money needed to install a defibrillator at the Old Cottage Hospital. Thanks to your generosity, we raised £2,112.30. We have enough for the defibrillator, as well as for a donation to Great Ormond Street Hospital, which is providing care to Lily, the daughter of one of our staff members.
We want to take this opportunity to thank all the local businesses who donated prizes for the raffle:
Champneys, Nicholas Humphreys, Neil Bourne, Willesley Golf Club, Lemon & Lime Interiors, Howkins Harrison LLP, Crane and Walton, Burton Albion FC, P&R Building Supplies, Burleigh Gin, Bolt Hole Design, Pyrotech, Burleigh Springs Spa, NFU, Burleigh Court, Bott Ltd, La Zouch, KP, Lisa Smalley, Jordan, Emma Frearson, Pete Swift – Daybreak, Tamworth Bowling, The Lunn Agency, Lush Garden Design, Matthew Clarke, Cattows Farm, Owen Jones, Tesco, Hood Park Leisure Centre, Barkers Café, Tollgate Brewery and Sweet Memory Lane.
Also, of course, we must say a huge thank you to everyone who bought tickets, either from a member of staff or for taking the time to call in and see Cheryl at reception. Without you, we would not be able to go ahead with installing the defibrillator in the heart of the Ashby community.
Lily and her family came into the office on Christmas Eve to draw the raffle. This took a while, as we had over thirty prizes to give away!
Once the defibrillator has been ordered and installed, we will know exactly how much is left to donate to the Great Ormond Street Hospital. If all goes to schedule, it is hoped that Lily will be able to present the cheque in person in early spring.
We have been in contact with East Midlands Ambulance Services, and we will hopefully have the defibrillator installed on our building over the next few months. Please keep a lookout for further updates. It is also our intention to get our staff trained to use it, and hopefully, the other businesses occupying the building as well.
